Envision Unlimited Mental Health Services utilizes a recovery-oriented model and support system to help persons with mental illness manage their conditions successfully. This is accomplished by program participants learning how they can transform their unhealthy thoughts, actions, and behaviors into healthy, adaptive ones.
PSR is a program that combines teaching in both group and community settings. Our Learning Specialists use a curriculum to support the four areas of wellness, home, purpose, and community.
- Wellness: This involves both mental and physical health. Participants learn about their illness, learn how to manage their health through exercise and diet, and learn how all of these are combined to promote wellness.
- Home: Participants learn how to manage symptoms at home in order to promote a healthy and secure place to live.
- Purpose: Participants learn goal setting in order to have meaningful daily activities and feel a sense of accomplishment.
- Community: Participants learn how to build natural support systems and maintain healthy relationships.
