We extend a warm welcome to our new Chief Financial Officer, Dennis James. He brings more than two decades of financial leadership experience to his new role, in which he will recommend and create effective strategies to maximize our operations and fulfill the Envision Unlimited mission of providing choice, independence and inclusion to our members.
“Working for a nonprofit organization focused on people with special needs is deeply personal and profoundly meaningful to me,” said James, who has a child with a disability. He said his experience as a parent has given him a firsthand understanding of the unique challenges and aspirations that people with disabilities face.
“This connection infuses my work with a deep sense of empathy, determination and a genuine desire to create a more inclusive, compassionate and supportive society.”
James is also a certified public accountant and has been recognized for his ability to elevate organizational performance, foster employee engagement and successfully implement cutting-edge business software technologies. He recently served in leadership positions with the Salvation Army North and Central Illinois Division, Greater Chicago Food Depository and Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society.
“We were seeking a passionate, strategic and collaborative leader to help our organization grow into the future,” said President and CEO Mark McHugh. “James’ dedication to and enthusiasm for the mission of Envision Unlimited is inspiring to our entire community. We look forward to growing and flourishing with him as a key strategic partner on the leadership team.”
