Crain's Recognizes Envision Staff as 2021 Healthcare Heroes
The Envision staff has joined Crain's Chicago Business' elite group of Healthcare Heroes for 2021. To qualify, honorees had to be working on the front lines of the COVID-19 crisis, making an impact and saving lives.
Of their finalists, Crain's noted: "These Health Care Heroes—34 individuals and 25 teams—went beyond the call. Early on, they stepped up to care for COVID-19 patients when the risks weren't fully understood. They scrambled to procure and distribute personal protective equipment, which was in short supply. Many treated patients...in the hardest-hit neighborhoods."
CEO Mark McHugh nominated his staff in the day centers, CILAs, and Central Office, noting their numerous sacrifices, acts of bravery, and the innovative technology they employed to keep Envision members safe and well during the pandemic, both physically and mentally.
